The high tensile elastic loop on the upper part of the sandal makes the Keota sandals easy to put on and take off. Because of this, they are the perfect casual sandal and a more secure alternative to flip-flops. Despite this, they are very versatile and perform very well for active outdoor uses such as hiking, running, and general adventure. Like our other models, the Keota is a stylish sandal that looks great and functions well at the same time! This model has a stack height of ~8mm. It is flexible and zero-drop.

Love love love them!

They're so comfortable. I feel like I can wear them anywhere.

My Favorite Sandles

I bought my first pair of these sandles in olive. About 3 weeks later I had to buy a second pair in black. The black color is not what was in my head when I ordered. I received my order fairly quickly and I was even more excited about the black color when I seen them. To me, it is not a jet black. It's like a black/dark charcoal color. It is a pretty color. For the comfort of these, they are amazing! These are all I wear on the weekends. I wear a women's 11 but I wear a 9 in these sandles so I highly recommend printing the guide before ordering. Also, the customer service is literally AMAZING if you need them!

I had high hopes

I wanted to love these sandals. I've been wearing barefoot shoes for a while but hadn't gotten sandals yet. I ordered a 10.5 in women's. The space around the toes was good and the sandal was wide enough.

That said, it felt like the sandal around the ball of my foot and toes flopped around even with the straps as tight as I could get them. I don't know if it's because it's only secured by the toe strap with kind of a heavy sole, the wrong size, or something else. I maybe could have gone down a half of a size, but was concerned I wouldn't have the space needed in the toe area if I did.

Like another reviewer, I found that there was extra space behind my heel that seemed like too much. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like I had a well fitting nor a good, secure fit and sometimes tripped going up the stairs when trying them out at home. I ended up returning them.

I started wearing barefoot boots this past winter and found that when I tried to go back to my usual flip-flops this spring, they suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable -- I guess my body will only accept barefoot shoes now. So I spent weeks looking for barefoot sandals and finally decided on these.

Two things I *really* appreciate about this brand are that they go down to size 5 and that they make unisex sandals that look pretty nice and women's sandals with thinner straps (I have small feet and thick straps can be overkill). I am a minimalist and love the idea of a sandal practical enough for a hike that also looks good enough to dress up a bit.

However, I'm disappointed with my Unshoes experience. First, these shoes do not even come close to fitting my foot. My toes, which are not long, hang over the front of the sole while the back of the sole comes out over an inch past my heel. I adjusted the straps all kinds of ways then finally contacted customer service, who said my only option is to order a custom sandal. Custom sandals are not returnable, and I am already going to be out the cost of shipping this order to me *and* back to Unshoes since they do not have free returns. I don't want to be out another $100 for custom sandals if they don’t end up fitting, either.

I looked at other styles to see if maybe one of those would work, and it seems based on the model images on the website, I'm not the only one who has this fit problem with Unshoes: I saw the same issue in a picture of the Wakova. I don't know if this placement issue is just on smaller sizes or what, but it's really disappointing that the product description doesn't include what foot proportions these styles actually work for so customers don't waste time and money. I ended up ordering sandals from a different brand and plan to stick with them moving forward.

My wife loves these!

My wife lives these! She says they would look good with a skirt or in the trail.
I would happily get a pair myself if I did not already have a pair of Wacova Feathers.
It is such a simple and elegant design.
Unshoes is great to deal with makes great (Un)shoes!

Our sizing is based on standard shoe sizing and is typically true to size, however, we suggest measuring your foot and and using the shoe size chart below to determine the best size for you. Stand with your heel against a wall and place a ruler or measuring tape along your foot to measure the total distance from the wall to the longest part of your foot.
