Wokova Feather

I am hooked. I love the barefoot feel of these sandals.

I bought a pair of Wokova Feathers in 2015 and wore them often for hiking and swimming in the river. They fit wonderfully and I never had any issues. I wore them swimming weekly in the summer from 2022 to 2024. I knew they were about to bite the dust, so I bought a new pair in June 2024. There had been some changes — a wider and longer footbed, and the elastic didn’t seem to keep the strap as tight. When I wore them swimming, my feet kept slipping within the shoe, and then one fell off — somehow the toe strap came out from between my toes — and floated away, never to be seen again. I’m super disappointed that after 9 years with one pair that never failed, this pair failed almost immediately. I think I’ll go back to Tevas.

I bought my original (and still going strong) Feathers 3 or 4 years ago now and loved them so much that a year or so ago I bought a second pair in a different colour. These newer ones have the newer version soles which are thicker than my original pair and I actually do not prefer the thicker sole, unfortunately. Happily, my original pair is showing no signs of giving up the ghost! I wear them all year round provided the temperature doesn't dip below -5C or so and it's not snowy/icy. I wear very little else on my feet these days

Exactly what I wanted for a daily sandal so glad I got them! The fit is right as long as you measure and get the appropriate size. The straps are soft on my skin and the bottoms are thin and durable.

I will say that I needed a few days to adjust to these. I have not worn "flip flops" in maybe 40 years.
After wearing them around the house, then in the back yard I was able to reacquaint myself to the whole between the toe thing. After that it took a few brief outings to dial in the adjustment. (Why does this confuse some people?)
Now they are prefect! Pretty close to nothing on your feet. Plenty of ground feel, with just enough protection. They are well made and well designed. Unshoes is a great company to deal with.
